Azu Terms of Use
Terms for Azu's on-device chat.
Effective date: 5 October 2026
These Terms govern use of the AI assistant available on this website (the “Assistant”).
By choosing to use the Assistant and accepting these Terms, you agree to them.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to accept these Terms.
If you do not meet these requirements, you may continue using the rest of the website where otherwise permitted, but you may not use the Assistant.
2. Purpose of the Assistant
The Assistant is an artificial intelligence feature designed to help you understand and navigate content available on this website.
It may read or analyse content from the page you are viewing and use that content as context when answering your questions.
Its intended scope is limited to questions relating to this website and its content.
The Assistant cannot act on behalf of the website operator, enter into agreements, make commitments, modify website content, or make decisions concerning you.
3. Artificial intelligence disclosure
You are interacting with an artificial intelligence system.
Responses are generated automatically. There is no human responding to you through the Assistant.
Generated responses may contain errors, omissions, incorrect interpretations, outdated information or fabricated information.
Where required by applicable law, generated content may contain or be accompanied by technical information indicating its artificial origin.
4. Device-local AI
The Assistant uses AI functionality provided by supported web browsers.
AI inference is designed to occur locally on your device using the browser's built-in AI capabilities.
The website does not intentionally transmit your prompts, the page content supplied to the Assistant, or the Assistant's generated responses to its servers for the purpose of AI inference.
Your browser may download and locally store software, AI model files or other resources required to operate the Assistant.
The browser or its provider may separately process technical information in accordance with the browser provider's own software, settings and privacy terms.
Ordinary requests required to load this website or required AI resources may also involve normal network information such as IP addresses, browser information, request metadata and timestamps.
5. Local data
Conversation state, prompts and generated responses used by the Assistant are intended to remain on your device unless another website feature explicitly states otherwise.
The security and persistence of locally processed information depend on your browser, browser extensions, operating system and device.
You should avoid entering confidential, sensitive or third-party information unless you are authorised to process it.
Clearing browser data, application storage or browser profiles may remove locally stored Assistant information or resources.
The website operator does not undertake to recover locally stored Assistant conversations or data.
6. Accuracy and reliance
The Assistant is provided as a convenience feature.
It may misunderstand your question, misunderstand website content or produce incorrect information.
Generated responses do not constitute official statements, representations, promises or commitments by the website operator.
Where a generated response conflicts with content published directly on the website, you should rely on the published source content after verifying it.
You remain responsible for decisions made using generated information.
The Assistant should not be relied upon for medical, legal, financial, emergency, safety-critical or similarly consequential decisions.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the Assistant for lawful purposes relating to accessing, understanding, navigating or discussing this website.
You must not intentionally use the Assistant or associated website functionality to:
- violate applicable law or the rights of another person;
- interfere with the security or normal operation of the website;
- circumvent access controls or security mechanisms;
- introduce malicious code;
- attempt unauthorised access to systems or data; or
- generate automated traffic that places an unreasonable load on the website or related infrastructure.
Authorised security research remains subject to any applicable security or disclosure policy published by the website.
8. Website content and intellectual property
Content available through the website remains subject to any intellectual property rights that apply to it.
The Assistant may quote, summarise, transform or otherwise refer to website content when producing responses.
Use of the Assistant does not transfer ownership of the website content or other protected material reproduced or referenced in a response.
You may use generated responses for lawful purposes, subject to any rights that apply to underlying material appearing in those responses.
No guarantee is made that a generated response is eligible for copyright protection or that exclusive intellectual property rights exist in it.
9. Availability and compatibility
The Assistant is provided as a free website feature.
Its operation may depend on browser support, available memory, processor capabilities, storage capacity and other characteristics of your device.
The Assistant may therefore be unavailable or behave differently on different browsers or devices.
The website operator may modify, suspend or discontinue the Assistant for technical, security, legal, maintenance or product-development reasons.
10. Third-party browser functionality
The Assistant relies on AI functionality made available by supported browsers.
The underlying browser, AI model and related software may be provided and updated by third parties.
Those components may be subject to their own licences, terms and privacy practices.
The website operator does not control the continued availability, implementation details, compatibility or behaviour of third-party browser functionality.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
This includes mandatory consumer rights and other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
To the extent permitted by law, the website operator is not responsible for losses resulting from:
- incorrect or incomplete AI-generated information;
- use of the Assistant outside its intended purpose;
- incompatibility or malfunction of your device, browser or other software;
- failure or modification of third-party browser AI functionality;
- loss of locally stored Assistant information; or
- circumstances outside the website operator's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms removes any remedy or protection granted to you by mandatory applicable law.
12. Consumer rights
If you use the Assistant as a consumer, you retain all mandatory rights provided by applicable European Union and national consumer law.
These Terms do not waive or restrict rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted by contract.
Where mandatory rules concerning digital content, digital services or online services apply, those rules take precedence over any conflicting provision of these Terms.
13. Privacy
The Assistant is designed around local processing.
Any processing performed separately by the website, including ordinary server logging, security measures, analytics or cookies, is governed by the website's Privacy Notice where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms changes any rights you have under applicable data-protection law.
14. Suspension of access
You may stop using the Assistant at any time.
Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary due to misuse, security concerns, technical problems, legal obligations or a material breach of these Terms.
15. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the Assistant, its technical operation, applicable law or security requirements.
The current version and its effective date will be made available before or when you use the Assistant.
Where required by applicable law, you may be asked to accept materially revised Terms before continuing to use the Assistant.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law, including applicable European Union law.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory protections provided by the law that applies to you under European Union conflict-of-law rules.
Jurisdiction over disputes is determined by applicable European Union and national law.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Any invalid provision applies only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
